What is the Bacteria and Parasite test?
Using a growth-based culture, the standard of practice in clinical microbiology, as well as sensitive biochemical assays and microscopy, this thorough stool test evaluates the status of beneficial and pathogenic microorganisms including aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, yeast and parasites. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing to prescriptive and natural agents is also performed to look for appropriate bacterial and fungal species.
What's Measured?
Expected/beneficial bacterial flora
Opportunistic (imbalanced) bacterial flora
Dysbiotic bacterial flora
Normal yeast
Dysbiotic yeast
Protozoa
Nematodes (Roundworms)
Cestodes (Tapeworms)
Trematodes (Flukes)
Yeast
Red Blood Cells
White Blood Cells
Charcot-Leyden Crystals
Pollen
Cryptosporidium Parvum
Giardia Lamblia,
H. Pylori
Digestion/Absorption Markers
Inflammation Markers
Short Chain Fatty Acid Markers
Occult Blood (microscopic blood in the stool.)
The Bacteria & Parasite Test Can Give Insight Into:
Bowel Dysfunction
Diarrhea
Abdominal Cramps
Brain Fog
Chronic Stress
Fatigue
Headaches
Nausea/Vomiting
Blood or Mucus in Stools
What is the Testing Process?
Once you receive your at-home lab test, please follow the instructions provided to register your lab. This at-home lab test requires a stool sample. Your test will include detailed instructions on how to obtain your sample(s).
Once sample(s) are received by the lab, it will take approximately 3 weeks for the results to be available for review in order to create your customized report.
Please note that on rare occasions, high volumes at the lab may result in processing delays. Note that if this occurs, we do not have the ability to speed up lab processing.
Disclaimer: At-home labs are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease and are intended for educational purposes only. Results are not to be used as a substitute for professional medical advice. At-home labs are an educational aid to be utilized in exploring underlying imbalances that lead to common health struggles.
